I know, I know! Photo is spelt with a “ph” and not an “f” but I thought I’d get away with as I’d recently read that spelling things like photo and elephant with an “f” in France is now acceptable… Personally, I find this disgraceful, how can you accept different spellings just because people do not learn the correct way to spell? In this case however, it’s practical for me as Friday Foto is better than Friday Photo… anyway…
I’ve not posted much recently as I’ve been on bed rest with the pregnancy, had a really bad back and just generally tired so typing blog posts or surfing the net has been very hard work. This text is a preface but from now and the next few months Friday’s will be dedicated to photos.
So to sum up my week in photos:
Baby Bunp: it is getting bigger and so am I! Next ultrasound is 28th February and we can’t wait!

Boxes, boxes and boxes: my life is almost all packed up in removal boxes ready to go. The big removal day was delayed (thankfully) and will now take place next Tuesday!

You look great xx
Thanks Claire, you’re very kind! I think I look really bloated! Not like those French women you see with their perfectly formed bumps…
You look great! I see that back pain in pregnancy is a common problem. My friend AW who has her due date on 11 March (!!!) also experienced that. It was actually so bad she had to stay in bed and at all times wear special corset… Just take it easy!
xoxo
thanks! Does you friend have physio or see a Chiropractor?
Her pain sounds very similar to mine, sometimes I have to stay laying down as well (although I am supposed to spend as much time as possible lying down to avoid giving birth prematurely). Hot water packs and heat packs can help ease the pain as well if it is muscular like mine.
I also wear a special corset which relieves my back of the baby bump weight, I have found it good obviously not getting rid of all the pain but making it more supportable to get through the day.
How long does your friend have left to go? I hope that she is able to manage the pain as best as possible for the rest of her pregnancy, it is such a shame to have to suffer with something like this during this special time!
ps. I am not wearing my corset in photo above, naughty naughty!
Looking good Piglet! Hope the back pain eases up very soon (my daughter is still suffering too…rotten isn’t it?)
Foto is the correct spelling in Turkish by the way!
Yay! I spelt it correctly then (in Turkish)! LOL!
I hope your daughter is finding some relief, it is rotten I agree! I doubt it will ease up now until I give birth though
you look great! Glad to hear the move is going well so far. Keep taking it easy! xx
Thanks Amber! I still feel like a lump of lard!
You look fantastic !!
Nice bump !
Ahhh, it has been 4 whole years since I have seen that sort of box… I am wondering will it be very long before I see them again.
The spell Photo . . foto here .. so it is not an unusual spelling to me
I had to wear the corset with my first baby. Or lay on the floor, which sometimes was preferable
besos to you and the husband and bebe …
Hi Candice! I hope I don’t have to see one of those boxes for a long, long time once they’re unpacked!
The corset is helpful but a pain when you have to pee, which is very frequent I’m finding!
Good luck with the big move! Don’t overdue the physical part! Take care.
Merci Michel! I’m taking it easy and not being allowed to do anything. In fact, I’m driving myself off to Provence tomorrow before the removal men get here!
Totally adorable baby belly. I hope all goes well with your move. I am curently surrounded by boxes. The truck doesn’t come until the 1st, so that gives me a little time to finish up. Do you have to clean your place, or is a service coming to do it for you?
Lucky you having until 1st! Go easy though on the box packing, before I got told to rest up I was quite the keen packer and it really took it out of me. No wonder I ended up with contractions…
We have our cleaner coming this Wednesday to help with some of the stuff and then Hubby will have Sunday to clean as we’ll be back for the day as we have to sign the sales deed on Monday morning. I’m hoping the house will be fairly easy to finish cleaning if all the bathrooms etc are done. What are you doing? It can’t be easy with your little ones already, I can only try and imagine!
That looks an impressive bump! Take care and I hope the move goes well.
There’s a couple of (nice) limericks about you over on Keith’s competition post.
Thanks Sarah!
Your bump couldn’t be any cuter!
thanks xxx
Hi Piglet, you look wonderful with a cute bump. I understand the back pain. I’d to go to a Chiropractor. But she just did a small massage. The pain was there. But it was always subsiding when I lay. Try a pillow always when you are seated and a small cushion when you take a ‘nap’. Although this not good, it gets u a quick relief.
Bisoo
Thanks for the tips! The pain is driving me nuts but its not for much longer now!!
I get massages and have had my back adjusted but the pain persists still. Like you I get relief from lying down so I spend a lot of time doing just that this days!!
